We haven’t left our apartment for over a month . I’ve been ordering food and everything else online since coronavirus set in, but it’s been a little tricky. Thankfully, I’ve been recommended some fabulous shops, supermarkets, restaurants and small businesses offering delivery during these turbulent times and I thought to share my personal list with you.
Online delivery service Cornershop is working, but I find that it can be hard to find a slot. So right now, I’m using the guys listed below.
The situation is changing on a daily basis, so please do update me in the comments if any of the retailers below are no longer functioning. Equally, if you’d recommend anyone else, especially awesome pymes (small businesses) who deliver, please do let me know in the comments below too. I’ll be updating this list on a regular basis.
You might also like to check out my regular list of grocery shops that I use normally. Not all of them are working right now, but many are.
While you’re here, you might also like to check out Chile Comparte, an organisation delivering food boxes to those most in need, who can’t afford the items listed below. You can donate here.
Fruit & vegetables
A guy called Carlos delivers good quality and great value greens. Email him for the current price list, then email / whatsapp him your order. 990944478 / divinahuerta2015@gmail.com
Another guy, Cristian is also great. There is a $45,000 CLP minimum charge for delivery, but he’s very personable you might be able to get this rule bent after a few orders. vegetalesyfrutas.cl / 957243360
Etti delivers great, organic fruit and vegetables in Santiago. Prices are higher, but the produce is certified organic. Whatsapp Etti +12138409750 for the weekly price list or order via the website organicasfresh.com
La ManSana is a popular choice among Expaters for its excellent fruit and vegetables. +56232546246
Meat
I buy all my poultry and free range eggs from Tinajacura. I don’t eat meat myself, but this small farm is the most ethical in town. It’s one of the few companies I really trust in terms of hygienic and ethical practice.
My husband likes the barbecue meat (burgers, sausages and steaks) from Meat Me. They’re still delivering.
Fish
Personally, I shop a lot at La Pesca de los Mekis. They sell really good sushi grade raw fish, as well as fresh and frozen shellfish and other fish.
Bread
For a limited time only French bakery La Chocolatine is delivering orders. It’s a great place for pain au chocolat and croissant in particular. Alas word on the street is that they’re closing. pedidos@lachocolatine.com / lachocolatine.com / Whatsapp +56 985298165
Metissage is one of my regular haunts for excellent French bread. They’re delivering Monday – Sunday from 9am to 6pm. Click here to order.

Groceries
Supermercado Diez sells all sorts of basic groceries and delivers. I buy lots of my wine here (Casa Marin, for example) as the prices are hard to beat.
Babies
Smiley Kids are one of the very few baby snack companies here that I love. Fruit pouches, no added sugar cookies and salt free crisps… my toddler loves them all.
For clothing, Travieso Ropa is now selling its pre loved babywear online via instagram.
Consignment store The Loop has also opened online sales for its babywear, toys and parenting accessories.
Health foods / vegan
Foodies is a great place for allergen free goods. I buy dairy free milk for my kid here.
Products here are not cheap, but Protteina is a great site for meat free substitutes, dairy free goodies and more. Think burgers, cheesecake and fishless fingers. I buy my vegan treats here.
I bulk buy at Eco Veg (also known as Eco Care), a wholesale store for vegan goods. The soya nuggets, cheeses and vegetable spring rolls are really good, and surprisingly great value. I was mocked for buying 50 vegan chocolate bars last week but something tells me I’m going to get through them easily.
Gourmet
If you’re after wine, cheese or charcuterie, Les Dix Vins is delivering.
For parma ham you’ll find Gourmitalia is hard to beat. They also sell yeast, cheese, tinned tomatoes and 00 type pizza / pasta flour in 1, 10 and 25 kg bags.
For excellent meat, seafood and gourmet food in general Mercado Patache comes highly recommended among Expater friends.
For speciality flour, e.g. bread, pizza and sourdough starter rye, try La Popular. Call+232244958, pay online, then choose yur delivery service, e.g. Rappi, to deliver from a dropdown of options.
For really good olive oil, see Las Piedras. I buy large bidones of oil here which are really good quality.
As well as bread, Metissage also sells a range of brunch goodies : French meats, cheese, honey and coffee. Click here to order.
For self isolation parties, Moments Box delivers cute hampers for baby showers, celebrations and couple time. With wine, cheese, gourmet snacks and decorations, it’s a easy way to celebrate within your self isolation unit. +995478631 / momentstogo.cl@gmail.com
Wine & Spirits
Booz.cl sells wine and spirits at a great cost. Currently they’re delivering in good time. It consistenly offers the best price for Hendricks gin, I reckon. (Do correct me if I’m wrong!)
Catador delivers really good wine, including from smaller producers and boutique labels.
Boutique winemakers Attilio Mochi Wines are currently delivering for free within Santiago. They’re also throwing in a beautiful wooden box for every purchase of 6 or 12 bottles.
Non alcoholic drinks
AFE delivers really good, pure fruit juices and purees to your door. My kids are fueled on this stuff. You need to spend $50,000 CLP for free delivery.
Coffee
Oggi Gelato delivers very quickly (depending on your location within 45 minutes!). Recommended by friends for their coffee beans and incredible ice cream.
Castel Blanco also deliver really good coffee beans, which they roast themselves. Whatsapp 979770342.
If you’re into Illy espresso, then Santa Victoria delivers. They also sell chocolate and cheese.
Take away
Lai Thai is a popular Thai restaurant among Expaters here. The staff are really friendly and the food is good. You can order take out through pedidosya.cl
For pizza, try La Popular Pizza y Pan. If you are outside of the delivery zone, place your order via telephone, pay via webpay online then choose the delivery service, e.g. Rappi from a list of options. +232244958
For great Mexican, you can Whatsapp Arturo on 984492327
Another popular choice for excellent Mexican food is El Zócalo Chile
Sweet treats
Alli Ramsay of Sweet Chile is your go to for birthday and celebration cakes. She also makes all sorts of sweat goodies including pastries and buns. I love Alli, my hips don’t.
Entrelagos is a chocolate shop delivering all sorts of chocolates to your door. They sell delicious dark dairy free, sugar free and ‘normal’ milk chocolates. Tel. 920691495.
Cleaning products
Punto Limpieza delivers cleaning products, including non toxic, environmentally friendly versions such as the Frosch brand (at a cheaper price than many supermarkets).
Freemet also delivers great quality, environmentally friendly cleaning products throughout all of Chile.
Pets
I don’t have any four legged family friends but a few friends have recommended NovaPet.cl. You can read more about delivery fees and timings here.
I’ve also heard Pet Country is a great place for pet food delivery.
Tienda Pet is another option. Payment can only be made via WebPay or transfer (not cash). Visit tiendapet.cl or call +56 2 2 202 1974. Currently they are not delivering to Hualpén, San Pedro de la Paz y Coronel. Check the website for updates.
Fashion
Inara is a Chile based, luxury swimwear brand with Colombian soul. Contact Carolina via instagram for orders and sizing information. They deliver within Chile and their costumes make you feel a million dollars.
La Josefine is a Chilean brand selling really cool hair accessories. You can buy them via instagram or through a fashion store called Macadamia. (Incidentally Macadamia has a lot of other cool brands on there too, so do check it out).
Gifts
Cordillerana is a non profit organisation supporting artisan women in Chile. Side note, I really, really like their shawls and rugs.
Kumen sells beautiful handicrafts, including gorgeous pots and tableware online.
Chile Amano is a directory with some of the best artisans from all over Chile. A fantastic place for gifts for friends back home.
Atelier 88 is a great place for Chile made shawls and rugs.
For cheap gifts and household stuff, Casaideas is now delivering.
Julio Nuneze is an artisan jeweller and shawl weaver working at Pueblos Los Dominicos. Now selling online via his instagram, he is well liked among Expaters in Chile for his scarves and ponchos in particular.
Toys
Todo Disfraces Chile is delivering costumes across Chile.
Casaideas is now delivering and is great for well priced jigsaws, dressing up and small toys.
Consignment store The Loop has also opened online sales for its toys and baby accessories.
Fitness
Belda Cycles is an independent bike retailer based in Vina del Mar. While they can no longer assemble bikes and indoor spinning bikes for you due to the Coronavirus, they are still delivering via Starken delivery service (albeit Starken delivery is delayed). Belda offer a really personalised service and staff really know their stuff.
For the pet supplies I’d like to mention NovaPet.cl – I’ve been using them for almost 2 years now and they deliver for free in RM (if you order over $13.000), and usually it’s next day delivery, but with the quarantines it’s been about 3 days. I have also used TiendaPet during the quarantine. Certain foods are scarce now so you might have to look at several pet supplies stores to get what you need. TiendaPet delivered in a timely manner as well (still prefer NovaPet though).

You’re welcome! Thank you for saying so, I really appreciate it. I know a lot of stores have sadly had to close their doors since I left but hopefully my favourites are still operating as usual. All the best, Nina
Hello – writing from Australia and looking for gift voucher ideas for my friend in Santiago (since I cannot fly to see her 🙁 ) Does Macadamia deliver do you know? If I got a voucher for her to buy something nice for herself? Thank you – this blog has given me hope! lol

Hi Belinda, so I’ve asked a few friends and the general consensus is Dept 51 or Creado en Chile.
https://depto51.com/collections/gift-cards
https://creadoenchile.cl/collections/gift-card
Macadamia has an online shop so I understand it delivers too.
There are also the big department stores but I have heard (and personally experienced) some issues with online orders not turning up / arriving broken.
Hope this helps!
N x
Thank you Thank you Thank you. Macadamia does not do gift vouchers (got to chat to them through Insta) but I THINK I have HOPEFULLY procured a gift card through Creado en chile. Fingers crossed. THANK YOU so much for your help. I know it has been so difficult over there – sending you hugs xx

Whoop! Well I managed to get a scarf sent to a VERY remote address through Creado en Chile so hopefully they’ll have no issues delivering. And Thank you for your lovely words of support too, xx
